It has always been a great pleasure for us that we have such a great group of agents serving our clients across the globe. This month we were happy to welcome Gelf and Carina from Canada. They have been our agents in Canada for many years and it was great to show them round our manufacturing unit and sales office here in the UK.
Premier has supplied three Inverters to Bisley, the first of which was delivered over 18 years ago and is still used regularly today.
The machines are used to turn over stacks of steel sheet in order to present them in the right orientation prior to painting. Originally, Bisley ordered 2 RR Type 1 models for handling sheet up to 2200mm wide, then, in 2009, a custom built, FS1000 was delivered.
Tony Walker, Senior Engineer at Bisley said:
We had the two RR Type 1 machines from Premier in the first instance and were very impressed with their reliability. Therefore when we needed another inverter we decided to approach Premier again
Premier supplied an FS1000 inverter specifically built to Bisley’s needs for handling
smaller size, very thin sheets of steel.
The new machine has solved our problem totally and is very reliable.
Premier have been a UK distributor of the Palomat stacker/destacker for a number of years. The month of May was a cause for celebration in the Premier office – Liam Brett, one of the sales team, has been awarded a prize for being “sales person of the month” and is seen in the photograph with Richard Jones, Director of Premier, holding his prize.
We are always very pleased to welcome visits from our distributors and this month has been extremely busy.
We had a visit from our Belgian distributor, Willy van Geert who was accompanied by Rik Pysson and Luc Op de Beeck. The following week we welcomed our Swiss Agent, Heinz Wyrsch who also introduced us to his new colleague, Markus Streuli and last week we were visited by our Australian agent, Bob van der Wild.
It is always useful for our agents/distributors to visit us and see machines in-build at our factory and to discuss sales and marketing strategies with our staff.
It was with great pleasure we received a visit from our Australian Agent Bob Van de Wild of BBJ Materials Handling this month. Over the past few years our exports to Australia have grown exponentially and Bob has been a huge part of that success.
Having a knowledgeable and helpful member of our team based in Australia allows Premier to offer hands on support for our clients that is important to our business. It was great to see Bob again and we wish him all the best for the coming year.
Premier have been at the International IMHX logistics show at Birmingham (19th – 22nd March.) Once again the exhibition has been a success for us. We took an order on the stand and now are working hard following up the high volume of enquiries. We would like to thank all the people who visited us at Stand 18 P5 .
In May 2012 Premier Pallet Systems received a Project Equipment specification from McCormick UK Limited at Aylesbury. The requirement was to transfer goods from wooden to plastic pallets prior to them entering the production area. This is a very common request from our customers and we have many years’ experience of handling these types of load. McCormick UK Limited needed to handle about 300 loads per day on a 24/7 operation. Their special additional requirements were for the machine to have Emergency Stop button and be manually controlled.
Premier Pallet Systems quoted both a new and a reconditioned inverter – the new machine being our latest model on the market – the FS DC bars machine. A floor flush loading table removes the need for a ramp and the load would be placed against the 3 side bars ensuring secure support whilst the being inverted and without the need for high clamping pressure.
Paul McGrath, Senior Group Leader at McCormickUK Limited said:
“The introduction of the pallet inverter within our Haddenham plant has proven to be a key investment in the elimination of waste identified by the operators within the Warehouse Department, which has led to increased pallet turnover of 30% in the first 4 weeks of use. Importantly, the operators have recognised the ease of use and also identified what “value added” activities can be completed within the process with the time saved from using this new inverter”.
Two members of the McCormickUK Limited team visited Premier Pallet Systems to see the machine in action before it was transported to their factory. Paul McGrath added
”the service from Premier Pallet Inverters was not only very impressive, but also Top Class. The fact they were willing to entertain McCormick UK Limited employees to review the inverter we were interested in, and also the training and commissioning, was terrific”.
It is that time of year when we are busily preparing for the International IMHX logistics show at Birmingham 19th – 22nd March. As one of 400 exhibitors we will be displaying our V Changer and also a Palomat Pallet Dispenser. New this year we will be showing our recently launched Clamp Changer. This year the show will be opened by World land speed record breaker Richard Noble, OBE. If you get the chance, visit our stand at location 18 P5 and see for yourself the build quality and innovation of our pallet inverters and stackers.
It’s always an easy option to trot out the ‘our best year ever’ stories in the News sections of company websites, but for Premier, 2012 really has been good. What is particularly pleasing is that we’ve supplied Inverters to many new customers and new countries such as Serbia, Kenya & Slovakia. At the same time our existing agents in America, Europe & Australia have been achieving excellent results, and helped to overcome the general global economic downturn. We’re grateful for all their hard work.
If you know us you will know we’re not exaggerating. If you don’t know us, then you may want to join us and find out why so many businesses worldwide our choosing our Pallet Inverters and Pallet Stackers over those of our competition.
Happy Holidays and New Year to all our customers, agents and suppliers. We hope that 2013 be a year of growth for all of us.
