Floor level loaded 180º Inverter with special design features to make it ideal for the food and pharmaceutical industries.
We can build the FDL with a stainless steel turning body or with a hot zinc spray rust-protected finish.
As with the FS DC there is a choice of conventional/ramp loaded or floor flush tables and a choice of 1700 or 2000mm maximum jaw openings. The FDL Inverter rotation system has been refined and the entire unit has been built with fewer moving parts, hosing and connections. The whole hydraulic system is housed in a containment enclosure with a smooth easy to clean exterior.
All FDL Inverter machines are painted with two coats of zinc primer and a 2 pack epoxy acrylic top coat as standard.
The FDL is highly versatile but is most commonly used to switch raw materials entering food or pharmaceutical plants to hygienic plastic pallets.

It was around 1996 that Premier first decided to design and built a 180 degree inverter (pallet turner) specifically with the pharmaceutical industry in mind. What they came up with was a more streamlined version of the FS DC with fewer moving parts.
Once again, it is a dual clamped machine opening to floor level. It has the same jaw opening as the FS DC and also a smaller option from 1700mm maximum to 600mm.
The FDL pallet turner works with a different turning principle using an hydraulic geared motor; this makes for a very smooth operation. It has a minimal number of functioning parts so maintenance is almost unnecessary and all the hydraulics are housed in an enclosed rear section to guard against the dangers of leaking oil or dripping grease.
It is most at home working in the "goods inward" section of a pharmaceutical warehouse switching product from wood to clean plastic or aluminium pallets. It can handle bags, glass ampoules, packaging or label reels with equal ease.
